There’s also the visit to the Shanghai Museum to absorb the historical treasures of the dynasties. See the riches that have been preserved through thousands of years and experience the difference between Filipino and Chinese culture. After the Shanghai Museum, you’d be able to relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the Shanghai’s Yu Garden. You can then continue your tour of Shanghai with shopping or ride the trackless sightseeing train along the Nanjing Road in the Bund. It’s beautiful to see all the store lights in Shanghai at night.
Once you’re done seeing the attractions of Shanghai, you’d be able to ride China’s high-speed rail to Beijing where you can visit the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. In Beijing, you’d see Chairman Mao’s picture and the world’s largest palace complex that covers seventy-four hectares and is surrounded by walls reaching up to ten meters in height. Now, what would be a trip to Beijing without visiting the world famous Great Wall? Be ready to climb to the Juyongguan part of the wall. While in Beijing you can visit the mausoleums of the 13 emperors of the Ming dynasty at the Ming Tombs. But you’d not only see the ancient part of Beijing; there’s also the modern side of Beijing; the architectural marvels that are the National stadium and the National aquatics center – the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube. After which, you can relax in China’s largest royal park in the Beijing Summer Palace where you have the option to ride a boat in its lake. The last stop in Beijing would also include shopping. Below is a sample itinerary.
Day 1 Arrive at Beijing Capital Airport, meet and have welcome lunch at local Chinese restaurant, later compulsory tour to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, later have a sip of tea at Tea House, check-in at hotel, overnight in Beijing.
Day 2 After hotel breakfast, compulsory tour to Juyongguan Great Wall, en route Jade museum, lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, back to city outside picture taking of 2008 Beijing Olympic sites “Birds Nest and Water Cube” and make a visit to Chinese herbal medicine research facility, then later transfer back to hotel, overnight in Beijing.
Day 3 Whole day free to tour Beijing at own expense and time. FREE breakfast at local restaurant included.
Day 4 Free time until transfer to airport for flight back to Manila. FREE breakfast at local restaurant included.
